Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
I think the slow play is a little more realistic though because a guy could sign a contract in real life and then there is a coach change and he doesnt fit the system anymore. Now a big name guy with a huge cap hit...in the NFL they stay on the team until the cap hit is minimal. I like Jared's sugge...

Re: Free Agency and Draft Dates
I don't think there really was an option where we started free agency then the draft was three weeks later or something like that. So everyone just voted for what was there and commented after

Re: Free Agency and Draft Dates
I just don’t see how we get free agency going this weekend as far as I know we don’t have trading open yet. We still have teams on the openings page. I don’t see the point in rushing things along the only issue would be open teams. everyone else can be discussing trades through messages if theyre i...

Re: Free Agency and Draft Dates
I agree in not having them so close but will everyone who is going to be missing one or the other be completely without internet access?

Re: Free Agency and Draft Dates
I think more time between start of FA and the draft would be good. How long has the gap been in the past? One week seems pretty close together (+/- a day or two)

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
I would agree with both JonC and sooner. UFA's cant be LTCd but not to implement this season but next.

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
part of getting crazy contracts is because they are getting big deals on some qbs. and replace Garoppolo with Matt Ryan...its the same issue. maybe the issue isnt with the base number but with the guaranteed numbers? 24 million base with 1 million bonus isnt a real contract because that player can b...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
For overall competitiveness, Jimmy Garoppolo should not be able to be signed for a 5 year contract for 16mil per year (current estimate in CFFL) where in real life he just got 27.5. And how puny would that 16 mil look in years 4 and 5 with the rising cap... In some leagues this change wont really af...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
any thoughts on a no trade clause for year one?
I know ive used it as a tactic to use my excess cap space to do it and trade that player for picks but I realize its not a realistic practice
