Madden 11

I am interesting in starting or joining a Madden 11 online franchise. If anyone else here is interested, let me know and maybe we can get something going. If you have a league and need another player, I'll be happy to join. My preference would be to take over Tampa Bay. Also, if you are just interes...

Re: Signings?

I checked a few of my guys on rotoworld who have signed contracts. I do have the second to last pick from both the third and fourth rounds (Rennie Curran and O'Brien Schofield), but I don't believe either has signed a contract yet. Corey Wooten: 11th (of 33 picks) pick in round 4: 4 year: SB $507,17...

Re: Franchising a Player Rules

I understand that you still need two tackles, but my point is, it becomes more cost efficient for me to franchise a top tier G than a top tier T. The difference between a guard and a tackle in this game is nonexistent, so why does it cost me less to keep a similarly rated G over a T. The fact that y...

Re: Franchising a Player Rules

The Adrian Peterson contract isn't really a front loaded contract. That last year is a dummy year. It is voidable. There is no way he players for $895,000 in 2012. It was thrown into the contract to spread out the signing bonus hit per year. His contract will be renegotiated before then. Yes, player...

Re: FA bidding

Personally, I like the idea of an average yearly value thing. It wouldn't be too hard to compute on your own : Salary + RB + SB/years. If your counter offer fails to raise the average yearly value, it would be rejected. Teams could weigh adding a player short term at a higher SB vs long term with hi...

Re: Franchising a Player Rules

I have one last question regarding franchise rules. Has there ever been a discussion about merging some of the franchise player categories? I am new here, and I haven't been through a simulated game yet, but my understanding is that there is really no difference between a C, G, and T as far as the s...

Re: Franchising a Player Rules

I think I am in favor of taking franchise numbers from the NFL, although I might be able to be persuaded otherwise. I'd point to the Mankins, Harrison, and Eli deals mentioned above. The GMs who offered these contracts have every right to do so, but I don't feel that they are realistic contracts in ...

Re: Franchising a Player Rules

Maybe this deserves its own thread, but I'll add it here for now since it was mentioned in the previous posts. Why should we be allowed to front load contracts? If I am wrong, I will withdraw my argument, but I am not aware of a precedent of this in the NFL. I understand that this would be a useful ...

Re: Prospective GM Wait List

Hi, I'd really like to get a team when one is available. I am a diehard Tampa fan, so that would be my preference if a Tampa team were available, but I'd be happy to take any spot that opens. I have some Sim GM experience. I spent several seasons playing Simgalaxy, and I helped with Beta testing for...
