Re: 2020 RULES: Draft Picks

I of course voted no. I'm against limiting trading. This league is supposed to be fun... not realistic. FUN.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade Specifics

I just want to say that I voted no for all of these rule suggestions. The reason being, the benefit of them is not worth the extra work.... in my opinion.

Re: 2019 rules suggestion

We could do it exactly the same way we "restructure". Just backwards. Don't even have it as an option for bids. Only after signed.

Re: 2019 rules suggestion

Don't teams convert salary to signing bonus...to pay it up front and offer cap relief? Wouldn't that be similar to our restructure or are you thinking something different? Our restructure would work backwards to what I'm suggesting. Restructures back load deals. I'm suggesting the ability to pay of...

Re: 2019 rules suggestion

I view it more as a way to front load contracts... much like Charles Clay and Josh Norman's contract were the past couple years.

2019 rules suggestion

I can't imagine this being too terribly much work. However, I think we should give teams the option to "pay SB". I think teams with the cap space should be able to pay off all the SB without trading the player first. Technically, you can trade a player to a gm, and then him trade the playe...

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade

I am certainly against a blanket NTC for all newly signed players.

95% of the contracts that we sign have no problems at all. Making a rule to prevent enormous SB's from being eaten all at one time is the idea.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade

Don't feel bad about it... I did this with Eli Manning several years ago. I've use cap space every single time a rebuild. I have never tried to rebuild through the draft. Just trade for a ton of picks, and then use those picks to trade for talent the following year.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade

I'm for the 1 year no trade. Plus, if a team signs a player to a 30 mil SB, the team that trades for him already has to eat the salary, why have to eat part of the SB as well, especially if it's something I wouldn't do personally, and why acquire a player, trade him 15 minutes later and eat dead mo...
