Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
I mean I understand what we’re trying to do here, I just don’t think we’re going to see it stop completely, especially for those GM’s that feel like slow playing success, if they ever get success.

Re: 2019 RULES: Sign and Trade
So just so I understand I want to throw this out there. In the AFFL Phillip Rivers is about to sign a 1 year contract for $51 Million, $32 Million guaranteed. We’re saying that if this is slow played for a year wit the new proposals, we are going to be okay with it if next year QB ABC hits free agen...

Re: Free Agency and Draft Dates
I just don’t see how we get free agency going this weekend as far as I know we don’t have trading open yet. We still have teams on the openings page. I don’t see the point in rushing things along With 6 openings still to this point, I would assume plenty of existing GMs have a shot at getting one o...

Re: Prospective GM Wait List
My boss has been telling me for the past year that I needed to check out this league. Here I am... hoping to join him in the CFFL I can promise he will be active, but in no way am I confident about his ability to win games... :D If you are his boss, does that mean you’ll write him up if he isn’t ac...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
A couple of GM's complain and now let's change the whole system. I'm not complaining at all, merely trying to offer a possible solution that is different from the ones we have discussed in recent off-seasons since those weren't widely accepted. I agree that given the options we've discussed in the ...

Isn’t that essentially how every rule ever created/changed on here has gotten to the table to be voted on?whteshark wrote:A couple of GM's complain and now let's change the whole system.

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
For overall competitiveness, Jimmy Garoppolo should not be able to be signed for a 5 year contract for 16mil per year (current estimate in CFFL) where in real life he just got 27.5. And how puny would that 16 mil look in years 4 and 5 with the rising cap... In some leagues this change wont really a...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
Perhaps a reasonable compromise that's very easy to implement might be slightly changing the 50% minimum to something else. We had a poll a couple of years ago with very little support for going to 75% or 100% where 50% was by far the most supported. It may be different now. But I was quickly able ...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion
The last time we discussed the minimum bar for QB LTCs in 2016, setting at 50% got vast majority 26 votes to only 4 votes for 75% and 4 votes for 100% tag value minimums. We can look into that again, though, and see if further adjustment to the minimum bars needed. We have to be carefully find the ...
