Re: Madden 18 Roster Spreadsheet
FYI - It appears they are just updating this existing spreadsheet with a new tab of ratings. For example, the previous ratings are now listed as a tab called "Prelaunch ratings." They've now added the "launch ratings." Update - I was wrong. They didn't add a tab to the spreadshe...

Re: Week 1 rescheduled game
What is the most dramatic change in a rating from a single week? I only have a year to go off of, but it seems rare ratings swing more than 3-4 points which is maybe a half grade (B to B+/-). On the other hand, I have UDFA's and younger players that made their rosters, but EA hasn't updated. Perhap...

Re: Week 1 rescheduled game
Sounded like we may be delayed anyway as Troy tracks down non-compliant or inactive GMs. I don't really have players on either team, but doesn't seem like waiting to week 2 will be an issue so makes sense to me. Can't really have 2 games simmed with one set of stats it could really mess up games if...

Re: Week 1 rescheduled game
What about just deferring it to week 11 like the NFL is doing? Guys on bye still get the averages, guys actually playing get the actual numbers and it is ran the same as usual except we will have Miami and Tampa Bay without a week 1 record I'm sure that's what will happen for the MIA/TB teams, but ...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion - Open Mike
Don't think of it as 5 phone calls per day but 5 full on visits with a workout and then internal discussions to put together a contract offer.
A simple phone call to a player in real life is like when you look at a players page here to see their current highest bid.

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion - Open Mike
It IS realistic though. A real team doesn't bring in unlimited free agents. They aren't bidding on a piece of property like you do on eBay. They are negotiating with real people who are trying to make a major life decision. 5 bids per day simulates that to a very good extent. And my comment about th...

Re: Off-Season Rules Discussion - Open Mike
:( It is disappointing that a phrase like "we will never ___" comes up in a thread specifically for discussing possible changes, really sets a good tone for discussions and exploration. Thanks though. That does answer my earlier question as to whether the league has ever had unlimited bid...
