Simulation League Openings for 2017 Season

The Diamond Mind Baseball Organization (DMBO) is a 30-team, centralized, keeper league. We are seeking top-quality General Managers to assume control of the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers at the conclusion of the 2016 season.

Our league is largely composed of long-time members with excellent baseball knowledge and talent evaluation skills, as well as strong enthusiasm for the game. As a community, we seek to maintain a healthy balance between realism and playability so participants will not need to spend large amounts of time handling the minutia of a franchise but will still experience challenges as close as reasonably possible to those faced by a real-life MLB General Manager.

League features include:

• a yearly, five-round summer draft using the pool of draft-eligible amateurs and previously-undrafted minor league players
• 25-man active rosters, a disabled list, waivers, and a 25-man reserve roster
• a full 162-game schedule, culminating in a playoff format that mirrors real-life baseball
• a realistic financial model determining player salary increases and team revenues each off-season
• arbitration, team options, and other contract-related details
• yearly bidding on free agents during the winter

The DMBO’s site is kept current with a flood of statistics and data for current and prior simulated seasons. The league’s forum is fully integrated, and GMs often provide interesting content concerning either their own teams or the league as a whole. Participants can access league- and team-specific data for just about every area of imaginable interest.

One aspect of the DMBO which sets it apart from most of the other simulation leagues is our GM Desk. This is an addictive feature that probably needs to be test driven to be truly appreciated. It enables our GMs to manage their rosters, track their finances, proposal and review trades, and more.

If you would like more information, have questions you want to ask, would like to apply for the vacant franchises, and/or get a place on our waiting list, please contact our Executive Committee at dmbo.email@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

You may absolutely PM me with any questions regarding the league as well.

Thanks!
