In DFFL, my GIants are in a world of hurt. I'm sitting at 137mil for next year, BEFORE i resign Tom Brady. Yikes.

If I need to cut half my team, Tom Brady will be staying a Giant.

Thanks for the link Jared but correct me if I am wrong. I misunderstood earlier the comments as to being that there would be a salary cap of $120M. John Clayton refers in the article to a "payroll floor" being 100% of the cap, IF the cap is $120M teams would have to allocate a minimum amount to player salary. Currently we don''t have anything like this in the CFFL and I imagine it would be something requiring a vote I would think.

The following link gives the cap #'s over the years; 2010 was uncapped of course.

http://nfllabor.com/2010/02/24/year-by-year-salary-cap/

Clayton I think is just using the $120M as a reference # I think because the 2009 cap was $123M. Projecting the annual increase I would find it hard to believe the cap would be in the $120 range in 2011. I was looking for an article that I saw a couple months ago; couldnt locate; but it was estimating $141M. Of course with the CBA being negotiated who knows.

You'll have to google it and read more abot it. It's not just a number that he made up. It's the projected cap number. The Players were willing to take the lower cap number, as long as teams were forced to spend close to the top of the cap.
