Off Season

With the free agency gates open in the NFL, is anyone else as excited as I am for free agency and the draft in our respective leagues?

I'm not. I anticipate losing some quality guys this year in AFFL and if I hope to get anything out of the loss I can't sign any UFAs (so I get some comp picks in 2013).Onyxgem wrote:Yes i am itching to get FA going.

Yep Ben, I feel your pain. The small increase in cap didn't help either!

You're actually in better shape than me cap-wise, though you have a few more free agents than I. As it stands now, I'm going to be about 7 million over the cap when the off-season begins.soonertf wrote:Yep Ben, I feel your pain. The small increase in cap didn't help either!

do we have an estimated date when FA will begin...i got 71 mil to spend

I would assume we are still a month or so out. We still have to take care of the following issues
1) Finalize all new rule changes
2) Reset the rosters to 2012
3) Have a period of time for Franchise, Restricted, and Transition tagging
4) Set up the Free Agent database.
My guess it will be April 9th at the earliest.

you are probably right, but i hope we start FA before April 1st.
