i am dreading my middle 1st round pick this year. that will be like 4am local time for me, but other than that, all dates should be good for me. I would prefer FA not to start April 19th, but I can make it work.

First weekend of may would probably be a problem for me if we were to do anything big that weekend (I'm guessing FA is going to start sooner than that?). Otherwise I'm good.

We should get a poll up soon for the draft start date here, eh?

I'm all for starting on a Saturday or Sunday personally.

I think at least a day or two to analyse players' landing places is useful. That's a whole other level of research that can't be done before the draft.

I could see starting it on the weekend immediately after the draft (10/11 May).

We cannot start our draft until the NFL one is finished (or at least close to finished) because our default positions if the clock runs out on someone and they can't be around are based upon the NFL results, and that takes some time to load up.

As the NFL settles into it's consistent schedule now with its new format, I'd like to always just have a known set schedule based upon that. I believe we started up on Sunday last year after the NFL's.

This year things are a bit different, though, with the NFL moving back the draft. Sunday is Mother's Day where some will have other activities planned. Looking back there have been some years where we had a draft underway and even skipped a day in the schedule so no picks due on Mother's day since many voiced they'd be away then.

Unless attitudes on that have changed a lot, even though I think a Sunday is a great day to start, Mother's Day may not be.

Not that I need to always be around 24/7 while it's underway (although sometimes things do pop up needing attention) I'll be away on a business trip to Charleston, SC from Wednesday - Saturday night although with laptop with me.

To me, unless a lot of people want to start Sunday despite it being Mother's Day, Monday might make the most sense in that case. Open to feedback. I'll be working on draft data, time windows and setting everything soon.
