You can just trade all your draft picks to me Jared. No big deal there.

I will be abroad in Dublin & London from April 7-17.

I should have wifi at least in the mornings if this is when free agency is but figured it is worth giving a heads up!

Thanks,
Jared
Along those lines - I'm out of the country from May 13-May 26, and will likely have limited internet access. Based on Jared's timeline, I'd suggest a May 8 (or last weekend in April, if possible) start date for the AFFL draft.

One day behind planned Super Bowl schedule with one league left. Hoping to do that one tomorrow. Either way, the leagues will be closed for business when the clock strikes 4/1 ET tomorrow night. No more free agency bids at that time or cuts. The only exceptions will be if any teams are over their cap/roster and need adjustments before the league year closes, which I'll contact any teams in that situation or take league actions to put all in line prior to transitioning to a new league year finances ahead.

It feels like we rush to start the draft ASAP every year, and then once it's done nothing happens for the next couple of months. I'd be interested to see how it works if we start it a few days / a week later; it would mean we could focus on the NFL draft as spectators and then have a little time to build our own boards with the added information about their NFL landing spots.

I agree. Free agency and the Draft are my favorite parts of this shindig, and I feel like we rush up to them and fly through them (more so the Draft than free agency), but then we sit around all summer with very little to do. I understand trying to mirror the schedule, urgency, and pressure of real-world NFL decisions, but I don't see the harm in slowing things down and spreading them out a little here.

But then again, I don't know shite.
CFFL Houston:
2013: 7-9
2014: 9-7
2015: 10-6 - Wildcard (0-1)
2016: 12-4 - AFC South Champ (0-1)
2017: 11-5 - AFC South Champ (1-1)
2018: 12-4 - AFC South Champ (1-1)
2019: 13-3 - Wildcard (4-0 - CFFL Champions)

Special request from The AFFL Champs
Let's do the draft as soon as we can.

If I remember correctly, the reason for the draft being around the actual start time of the draft is to prevent people from watching mini camps, etc. and drafting based off of those results.

I agree that the draft should happen as close to the real draft as possible. I like that when I pick my first rounder, the draft isn't even finished yet. I also think - since the AFFL is the "big boy league" so to speak - that the draft there should actually happen BEFORE the real draft. Then we could see how good everybody really is.
