Several veterans are getting 1 try $450,000 deals. For example, Weeden, Kerley, and McDonald in the CFFL.

This is a statement right under where it shows your bids on the free agency page:

"Teams are limited to 5 free agent bids per 24 hours (not including their own players). Minimum bids are 450K for all 1 year deals and players under 3 years of experience, and 760K minimum for veterans with a signing bonus required for veteran multi-year deals. Exact last bid times are no longer listed, but are approximately displayed within 10 minute windows. Grades as always subject to updates for future performance."

Yeah, it was an update either last year or the year before where we allowed the 1-year short veteran deals at rookie prices because in the NFL those veteran minimum deals for 1-year give the full money to the player but only count a rookie minimum toward the cap. I believe that was to help veterans keep jobs in the NFL versus being replaced by half priced rookies where you could get a veteran at rookie price against the cap but just for a 1-year deal. Thanks

Oops. I forgot we made that rule change (even though i think I was one of the strongest proponents of it).
