In past years, EA has published a final update and then updates players who are still active in the playoffs. Then there might be one last update after the Super Bowl involving players that weren't active in the playoffs.

Different subject, but related. How does the software factor for teams resting players? Assuming they aren't listed as inactive, I'm assuming they are eligible to play in our world?

Yes.

For grade purposes, whether someone physically plays or not doesn't matter. The only thing that impacts the grade is injury level. If healthy, they'd get full grade impact whether rested or not in reality.

For game stat purposes it works similarly to any player who doesn't have game stats from a real game but gets playing action in the sim, using a default game update. For QB, for example, their default update is better if their grade is starter quality grade versus a poorly graded QB. A default update gets better or worse fairly significantly depending upon supporting grade advantages/disadvantages.

I know it has been harder to keep up with ratings without an easy excel file like in years past, just wondering if we are going to try and do one more good ratings update or just roll with the ratings we have currently. I know in DFFL I have Tavon Wilson who is currently a 77 on FanGM and he ended the regular season as a 83. I am sure there are many other cases of players going both up and down like this maybe not as drastic as 6 points and I don't even know how big a bump up of .1 for a team DB rating would actually help in the sim.

We continue to update grades.

Grades should now be updated as they were for the NFL's wildcard weekend.
