Hey, just an idea, but I think we should have the roll call and have all teams filled before we start FA and trading. I had problems last year with trying to deal with a team with no owner and held out to long and got burned. I understand guys will come and go even after we start, but if all teams are accounted for at the beginning, more would stay interested longer if there are no big lulls in action!

And we'll have a check-in much like last year where I can see on the GM directory which GMs have signed in or not, and will look into replacement GMs where needed before we start off-season activity.

Ok that is cool, was just hoping to get a jump on the offseason, been biting at the bit to get the trades that have been agreed on done over over with to great ready for the Fa period....could it be possible to maybe start opening trading a week before teh FA to get some of those deals processed to give teams ideas where they are at $$ wise?

I think this idea by Onyxgem is great. Biting at the bit is an understatement indeed...feel like I got that 7 year itch in terms of seeing the deals that have been waiting in the wings to be processed and it benefits all since there is so much uncertainty in what is going to happen in the offseason with rule changes, possible uncapped year, etc

I would bet some of those deals get pulled off the table if rosters stay locked until after Rules discussions and everything else.

I agree that trading needs to open at least a day or preferably two days prior to free agency.
