Sacks in the Playoffs

If I understand the system correctly, an offensive player who is on a FanGM playoff team but not an NFL playoff team will receive an update that is the average of his performances.
Is there a similar mechanic for defensive players, specifically with sacks? For example, if I have a player with 15 sacks over the regular season who is not going to the playoffs, is there a chance that he gets an update with a sack? I guess it would have to be a percentage thing: 15 sacks in 16 games = 15/16 likelihood of getting a sack.
Not a big deal, just interested in whether it's there. I guess if it isn't, it could be a slight disadvantage to a team that got to the playoffs on the strength of a pass-rush heavy defence. That could just be my ignorance of the sim mechanics though.
