FBs

Post by sportznut »

I just noticed this, and I'm not sure how long its been like this, but there is no longer a differentiation on the roster pages between the RB and FB.

Therefore, I don't "think" the FB is being added to the o-line grade where applicable.

Again, I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I have a B+ rated RB for Oakland, and when I look at my DC, he's not listed on the o-line at all even though he should be.

Is this an oversight, or are these guys still being factored into the line grade?

I'm not sure if this is the reason, but it could be because he doesn't positively affect your OL score. The FB only counts when he helps.

Mughelli is counted on my depth chart OL score for CFFL Atlanta so it doesn't appear to be a player issue if there is a problem.

Yeah, weird. I have a B+ FB on Oakland, and a B rated FB on Detroit. Neither seems to positively help my o-line.

I "guess" that's a good thing if my line is strong enough.

If had ahmard hall on my affl ten roster since the league has started. All he has done is lost me a game due to a lost fumble. Not once has he helped my oline grade.

The OL grade right now (before injuries added) is 7.0.
OFFENSIVE LINE: 5 Starters + Backup + FB/TE if help grade
Gurode, Andre (|C| - 7.6), Grubbs, Ben (|G| - 8.0), Clifton, Chad (|T| - 6.6), Otah, Jeff (|T| - 6.3), Faneca, Alan (|G| - 7.0), Kuper, Chris (|G|T| - 6.2).
Overall Grade: 7 (B+)

Your FB grade is lower than that. Adding his grade would not improve the average but only lower it. If teams aren't sure if a guy is listed as FB or not, click on their name and on the player page it shows their full position.

Nothing should be changed there from last year in that area. The OL grade is calculated first. Then it checks if a FB on the roster has a higher grade. If so, it adds the FB grade. If not, the FB grade will only hurt the average if it's lower so it doesn't add it in. Same with regular blocking TEs (not TEWR pass catchers but regular TE grades).

Sounds good. I might need that grade after some dealings possibly. Thanks.
